Recap: Comic-Con @ Home 2021: Ultra City Smiths Panel
Entertainment Weekly’s Kristen Baldwin hosted the panel for AMC’s newest original stop motion animated comedy Ultra City Smiths. The panel featured the creator, executive producer, writer and co-director Steve Conrad, as well as other co-director David Brooks. It also featured some of the series’ notable cast in Jimmi Simpson, Steve Conrad, Luis Guzman, Hana Mae Lee, Tim Heidecker along with Debra Winger. They discussed various topics surrounding the new series such as experiences behind the scenes, the story behind the show’s inception, the use of the show’s distinctive baby dolls as well as the quirky aspects of the characters.
Ultra City Smiths centers on detectives David Mills and Gail Johnson as they track down a prominent politician, Carpenter K. Smith, who went missing in a dangerous and bouncing city known as Ultra City. The big catch being however that every suspect in their custody has the last name Smith. The series is bolstered by a star studded cast that consists of Jimmi Simpson, Kurtwood Smith, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Tom Waits, Melissa Villasenor, Sunita Mani, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Alia Shawkat, Jason Mantzoukas, Chris Conrad, Bebe Neuwirth, Tim Heidecker, Hana Mae Lee, Tim Meadows, Damon Herriman, John C. Reily, Debra Winger, Julian Barratt, Terry O’ Quinn, and Luis Guzman.
Also, there was a new Comic-Con trailer released showcasing the wacky humor, oddball characters along with the intriguing mystery at the heart of the show. The first two episodes of Ultra City Smiths are streaming now on AMC+ with new episodes hitting every Thursday. The adult comedy will also debut on the AMC network this coming fall.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
