Our Take

For the first half, it wasn’t very subtle what the twist itself entailed, but you found yourself laughing at the absurdity of the situation. Especially when they find out who their new tenant Blanca Guzman really is and the comedic setpieces that later followed.

As for the 2nd episode, it mostly focused on how much of a scoundrel Carlos can be for the sake of a weird-ass Go-Kart. And with the way it ends, it showed what kind of person he really was with an ending that felt fairly predictable.

Overall, both were ok episodes at most. What I don’t like the most about this show and The Loud House at times is the “return to status quo” formula they both have like some sitcoms do that often have no continuity or consequences or any sort of change. Everything is just wrapped up within the episode and doesn’t have a lasting impact. I just hope the writers acknowledge this and improve for future episodes.
