Out Take

Compared to the many heartbreaking episodes this final season, I’m glad we get a mostly happy time here. The episode primarily focused on three couples and what they will do in the future. I also loved seeing all the zodiacs together joking around with their fun group dynamic, and they expected Akito to come in and get pissed at them but she played with everyone’s expectations.

Also, Akito coming to terms with who she is gender-wise and admonishing herself is a step in the right direction, but she’s still not redeemable. Her acknowledging that just an apology won’t change the fact her previous behavior previously screwed up her family’s lives in different ways. But at the very least it shows some self-reflection. But I have a feeling that she won’t be punished properly for it…

Overall with the exception of Akito having an almost consequence-free outcome and a post-credits scene involving Kyo’s mother, this was a pretty wholesome episode. I’m surprised there’s at least one more episode left before this completely ends. The question is, what more could they possibly add after this?
