Comic Review: RWBY/Justice League #13

Overview

The tide has shifted around Remnant and Team RWBY is on their heels. They’re surrounded on all sides with nowhere left to turn. If Team RWBY and their new powerful friends can’t stand against this final wave, it’s the end of Remnant permanently!

Our Take

With writer Marguerite Bennette and Penciled this time by Meghan Hetrick. We continue the battle of Team RWBY and Justice League’s team-up against the Starro. This time with what looks like a lead-up to a possible ending.

One of the highlights that easily stole the show as the cover of this comic implies, is a comedic and fun moment of The Flash dragging Bruce/Batman with him to make sure the people who fell victim to the Starro’s influence were at least unharmed during their fight against the Starro Queen. Like most cliche stories involving alien parasites, the weakness is usually a very predictable one if you watched as much horror/sci-fi stuff as I have in my youth…

This was a decent setup to what’s presumed to be the big finale. For how limited this crossover series was, we can assume that several loose ends need to be tied up for the final issue.
