Watch: Statler And Waldorf Get Their Comeuppance During SNL
It is long overdue that Keegan-Michael Key should be a guest host of Saturday Night Live. After having watched the show, I found it to be one of the truly funniest of the year thus far and this sketch took the cake for me. Featuring fairly awesome recreations of Jim Henson’s The Muppets, Keegan and Kenan Thompson play two pissed off security guards who had enough of Statler and Waldorf’s bullshit on The Muppet Show and throw the two out for good measure.
As for the future of The Muppets, it’s unclear what Disney wants to do with the series. The closest the streamer has gotten with working with that brand in 2021 is the second season of Earth to Ned that went up on New Year’s Day with almost nobody knowing about it. That said, a bunch of the Muppets will show up on all sorts of commercials and music videos, so maybe someone will be exploiting them shortly.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
