“Rick and Morty”-Inspired Call Sign Used By United States Air Force During Mission
I’m a huge supporter for all of our US Armed Forces that are constantly working day and night to keep us safe from whatever threats are out there so any chance I can get to write about them I will.
In this case, this mission involved a KC-10A re-fueling plane using the call sign “PIKLRICK” whilst flying over the Gulf of Oman via Al-Dhafra Air Base. The call sign is an obvious homage to the infamous Rick and Morty Emmy-winning episode “Pickle Rick” that sees Rick turn himself into a pickle in an attempt to avoid therapy with his family. His adventure continues down the sewer and into some sort of compound where all chaos continues to ensue not unlike a Die-Hard inspired effort complete with the overly dramatic climax.
Reps for the US Air-Force note that the call sign is just a sign of morale for the troops and that feedback has been given. Having said all this, I spoke with a few of my pals who recently served and they tell they used to use silly call signs all of the time, so this appears to be a common occurrence.
A new season of Rick and Morty kicks of June 20th @ 11 pm ET/PT, only on Adult Swim. Perhaps more call signs will derive from the upcoming season.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
