HBO MAX To “Slam!” With Rooster Teeth And Minnow Studios For New Animated Series
HBO MAX has had a busy 30 days. After announcing a slew, and I mean a slew, of adult animation projects for the next couple of years, the streamer has announced adapting Boom Studios comic series Slam! for the small screen. This will be an animated series produced by Rooster Teeth and Minnow Studios (Undone) with franchise co-creators Pamela Ribon (Rick and Morty) and Veronica Fish on board to produce.
According to Deadline who broke the story, the half-hour series, set in the fast-paced, hard-hitting, super cheeky, all-female world of banked track roller derby, follows two young women who will have to decide if their budding friendship is stronger than the pull of a team when a win is on the line.
The series will feature both rotoscope and 3D animation. In the meantime, Pamela Ribon has adapted Notes To Boys (And Other Things I Shouldn’t Share In Public) as an animated series for FXX’s Cake which is slated to kick off it’s newest season on March 11th, check your local listings.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
