Oni Press Announces “Worlds Apart” Rick and Morty Comic Mini-Series
Oni Press is slated to finish off the “Ever After” saga of Rick and Morty comics this month and now we know what February’s new saga will entail. This one is called Rick and Morty: Worlds Apart, and as you can see by the cover, the four-parter will see the return of Balthromaw. According to Syfy Wire who has the first-look,
This misadventure miniseries begins with an old fantasyland friend arriving in desperate need of Rick and Morty’s assistance.
When Rick declines, it’s up to Morty and Grampa Leonard to try and save Balthromaw, guardian of the realm of Dragar, and his horny horde of legendary Slut Dragons who are being threatened by the evil Lady Finndom and her energy-zapping Dragon Drainers. When Fascist Teddy Rick shows up and wrecks Rick’s vacation plan in Universe Gr-45580085, no one is safe!
For those that don’t know, we were first introduced to Balthromaw in the Rick and Morty season four episode “Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty” where Rick gets Morty a Dragon that grows a special bond with Rick that leads to the beast’s punishment from The Wizard. Rick, Morty, and Summer have to travel into a magical dimension where Rick’s knowledge of science is naught, and instead has to learn the ways of magic to both save Balthromaw and defeat The Wizard.
Rick and Morty is currently in production for a fifth season as part of Adult Swim’s order of 70 episodes.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
