English Dub Review: Tonikawa Over The Moon For You “The Way Home”
Overview
Nasa and Tsukasa are now enjoying their newlywed life as guests of the Arisugawa family/bathhouse. Things proceed normally until they receive a call from Nasa’s previous landlord, offering them a whole new apartment at a newly constructed building after their “previous one exploded in their absence”. And so the two of them proceed to check out…
Our Take
This show never fails to impress. Really enjoyed this episode, It was nice to see Nasa’s behavior and achievements be elaborated by Kaname so we know who he is better. As for Tsukasa, she is still amazing and the show really just had to emphasize her absolute devotion to her new husband. While we still don’t know much about Tsukasa as a character, it’s easy to take her wholesomeness at face value, she’s lived a very long time and gone through many experiences, but this is the first time she’s ever fell deeply in love with someone and found that kind of companionship, which has offered up a treasure trove of firsts and new experiences for her. Which is very sweet, but at times can feel a bit repetitive.
Well, repetitive in the sense that Tsukasa does something to show her loving devotion, Nasa monologues about how he is so in love. Any slightly sexual situation is suggested and they get really awkward and/or change the subject, etc. I think my other gripe is that there’s no need for the awkwardness at this point. They’re. Both. Married! Why are they always so weird about it? All they ever take is a baby step every episode or so but I’m hoping it loosens them up into being completely comfortable with one another.
Overall, this was another wholesome and entertaining episode I know this show has two episodes left, but part of me is so used to bad endings that everything that happens in this anime makes me think they’re some shocking twist or tragedy but hopefully, that won’t be the case as the show progresses.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
