Today In Obituaries: Remembering Beavis And Butt-Head’s Doug Crane

Just as we look forward to a year where we are expected to get some new Beavis and Butt-Head, we have to announce the unfortunate passing of animation producer Doug Crane. Doug’s impact on adult animation would be most noticeable from the aforementioned MTV franchise and would contribute to not just the original TV series, but the feature-length adaptation Beavis and Butt-Head: Do America. Doug’s other stops included Downtown, Fish Police, and Heavy Metal. Doug was also a professor at The School of Visual Arts in New York City for 15 years.

Doug passed away this weekend at the age of 85, two days after his late wife had also passed. We offer our condolences for those who mourn the dearly departed.
