Funimation English Dub Adaptation For Akudama Drive Gets Start Date

Akudama Drive is a 2020 Japanese cyberpunk anime television series produced by Pierrot and Too Kyo Games. The series is directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and written by Kazutaka Kodaka, who aimed to write rebellious characters in their work. Their stated influences include Quentin Tarantino’s works as well as 1980 feature Blade Runner.The full cast and synopsis for the series kicking off December 3rd is listed below.

Synopsis:

Many years ago, a Great Civil War ravaged Japan, leaving the country fragmented between two regions: Kansai and Kanto. In Kansai, a group of six Akudama carry out missions given to them by a mysterious black cat, while evading the police. But a dangerous journey is about to unfold when a civilian girl becomes twisted into the Akudama’s way of life and witnesses their criminal drives.
