Anime Dallas 2020 Is Shaping Up To Be A COVID-19 Super Spreader Event And You Shouldn’t Attend #FuckAnimeDallas2020

No matter how “safe” the producers of Anime Dallas claim this year’s convention is going to be, the fact that this event is happening during an upswing of COVID-19 that is seeing record infections in the United States is a real shit stain on the asshole of the universe and the organizers should be ashamed.

Of the board members which includes John Swasey, Luci Christian, and David Wald, David is the only one with enough sense to distance himself from this year’s event and opt to not attend. Other than that, noted anime English dub voice actors like Austin Tindle, Olivia Swasey. Ry McKeand, and others are all still slated to attend which more or less makes them complicit due to the fact that they are the attractions. If the event were to have no guests…it would not happen.

In the grand scale of conventions, Anime Dallas pales in comparison to the likes of New York Comic-Con, AnimeNYC, and San Diego Comic-Con, all of whom had the good sense to make their events digital. However, the fact that John Swasey is still allowing this shit show to take hold should hopefully throw him right in jail in a few weeks when local infections start to increase. The actors should be ashamed, and the Hyatt Regency DFW should be closed down.
