Did “The Simpsons” Just Make A Bold Prediction About Election 2020?

The latest iteration of the Treehouse of Horror for The Simpsons was a huge success. From a ratings point of view, the show was a resounding success, staying pace with the show’s premiere despite the fact that FOX had the last-minute delay as a result of the World Series. From a creative standpoint, we got an awesome Spider-verse send-up.

But, could the biggest deal from this episode come from this prediction? In this clip, The Simpsons predict the apocalypse should Donald Trump win the 2020, despite the fact that it’s been extreme liberals that have been causing the show ire the last couple of years. Still though, The Simpsons end up being pretty on the money when it comes to predictions, so maybe we should start stocking up on turpentine.

There’s still a bunch of positives to look forward to for The Simpsons. Stephen Fry has announced that he’s going to be taking part in an upcoming cameo. Sunday’s episode is called “The 7 Beer Itch”,  in it, when Marge and the kids take a seaside vacation, Homer is unwittingly tempted by a British femme fatale.
