“Rick and Morty” Blanks Netflix At 2020 Emmys
Rick and Morty was the big winner for the Primetime Emmy Awards for 2020 winning the Outstanding Animated Program category for the second time in three years. The series beat out strong competition from past winners like Bob’s Burgers and The Simpsons, and Netflix’s Big Mouth and BoJack Horseman in it’s final go.
The episode that won, “The Vat of Acid Episode“, was a winner for us as well, however, we felt that The Simpsons ‘“Thanksgiving of Horror” episode probably should have gotten the nod this year. In any case, congratulations to the cast and crew of Rick and Morty who are in the midst of producing like fifty(?) more episodes on the way for Adult Swim.
Synopsis:
Rick and Morty is a show about a sociopathic scientist who drags his unintelligent grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community, Channel 101) and Justin Roiland (House of Cosbys).
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
