Our Take

Given that Lana & Lola are the extreme opposites of each other, It would make sense that Lola would remain apprehensive at the idea of Lana setting up their birthday party between them as Twins. Of course, Lana isn’t prim & proper and thrives on getting her hands dirty figuratively and literally and the heart of this episode was about having her chance to shine in terms of arranging the party to her vision regardless of how offensive it might come across to Lola’s eyes. Eventually, there is a meaningful message at the end even if your left wondering why their parents would even approve of Lana’s oddly specific and potentially dangerous & unsanitary party ideas in the first place.

As for the latter episode, it was primarily focused on Lincoln and his circle of friends becoming a school news team with the usual jokes you’d expect from kids attempting to do news coverage as grown adults do, but the story doesn’t really pick up until the episode’s title lives up to its Corn pun as they need to solve a mystery involving a Popcorn Machine but while the twist was kinda underwhelming, the ending at least didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Both episodes were ok to a certain extent, but the “Strife of the Party” episode made me feel unclean in places…
