Star Trek: Lower Decks Panel Added To “Metaverse 2020” Online Con
From the producers of New York Comic-Con comes what will probably be the online substitution for 2020 in the form of the Metaverse. The online convention promises free panels, cosplay, and interaction with some of the biggest names in geek fandom.
One big panel that was just announced, the Star Trek: Lower Decks panel happening Thursday, August 13th @ 245 pm ET featuring Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty), Marisa Livingston, M. Willis, and an exclusive clip of the show’s third episode. Check out a trailer for the convention below. Admittance to the online con is free and can be watched here.
Synopsis:
“Star Trek: Lower Decks” focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the USS Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi must keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies. The ship’s bridge crew includes Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shaxs and Doctor T’Ana. This is the second animated spin-off in the franchise after 1973-74’s “Star Trek: The Animated Series,” but has a decidedly more adult tone and humor.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
