Review: 12 oz Mouse “Reveal”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The big reveal is that we are introduced to the architect of the Box of Worlds known as Sirus who wants nothing to do with Clock and is readying for a new mission. Meanwhile, Eye and Aria seem to have jogged Mouse’s memory a tad only to all be trapped by Wilx who runs off in hilarious fashion.
Our Take
Give it a couple of weeks, but Wilx running away is going to be the funniest new gif of the summer because I’ll be laughing at his sprinting away from Mouse and crew until the day I die. In any event, we’re gearing up for a showdown with the Shyd Industries and both sides are adding allies to help do just that. And why not introduce newer Adult Swim producers as additional cast members?
Other than Wilx running away, tonight’s episode just inches us closer from a storyline perspective while attempting to hit us with a bunch of jokes. The show certainly features Maillero’s trademark “hit or miss” type gags where setups could be a tad slow causing more silence than anything else and I think “Reveal” is the most obvious entry in this category. It doesn’t make for a bad show, fans of Aqua Teen will recognize these tropes, but if you’re new to this, you might find yourself disinterested or pissed off at the increasingly shoddy-looking backgrounds which help accentuate the series’ continued charm.
In a field of grandiose animated entertainment entering the scene, 12 oz Mouse surfs the waves that form the line that separates contemporary and antiquated, and I find myself still hooked either way.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
