“Cake” Season Three Gets Premiere Date/Time
FXX has announced a July 9th @ 10 pm ET/PT start date for Cake season three.
For those that don’t know, Cake is an American live-action/animated anthology television series that airs on FXX. The episodes of the series consists of multiple short subjects, both live action and animated. Each episode contains a season length “anchor” miniseries with various other shorts filling out the remaining time.
The first social teaser from the show already features some compelling animation news, one being the great Betsy Sodaro (Duncanville) being featured on an upcoming episode, the other being an already promising first-look at a new animated series. For my money, Cake season two blew the pants off of the terribad first season, so hopefully, season three continues that trend and we can get some pickups.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
