Our Take
This week’s episode of Rooster Fighter gives us the origin story of a one-time flame of Keiji’s, Elizabeth, and how she quickly goes from foe to friend joining our hero’s growing flock of chicks looking to kick ass. We also get a bunch more info, and another origin story if you will, of Keiji’s sister Sara and how she may be working with the antagonist of the series, the White Demon himself aka Gakuma.
Those looking for big ass battles with demon Kaiju, this week’s episode isn’t a great example of that and is kind of a hybrid origin/filler episode that continues to lay the ground work of what Keiji is looking for and the inclusion of another new ally. That said, I quite like the team building aspects of this show and the uniqueness each character is bringing to the series, even if it is paint by numbers world-building.
Expect to see more examples of this in the coming weeks, but I’m still excited to see where more of Rooster Fighter develops its characters for what will be a vicious cock fight as we progress through the freshman season.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
