Ranking Every Episode of “Rick and Morty” Season Four From Worst To Best
I suspect quite a few readers will be upset I did not rank this episode higher, and while I understand where you’re coming from, I ask that you hear me out. First off, the beginning of the episode is almost identical to that of season two’s Look Who’s Purging Now. In that one, Rick has to wipe his windshield after hitting a giant ‘space bug,’ while in Rattlestar he has to change a flat tire on his space ship only for Morty to bitten by a ‘space snake.’ This blatantly recycled setup notwithstanding, my main problem with this episode is that it seems to go all out on a lazy motif that’s prevalent throughout the first half of the season, namely that, each time the titular duo visits another reality, it’s always anthropomorphized. Think about it: the premier saw Rick visit a shrimp and a wasp dimension; The Old Man and the Seat includes a fly who owns a diner operated by frogs; Claw and Hoarder features a talking dragon and a talking cat; and Rattlestar focuses on a civilization comprised entirely of snakes. Next to all that, the fact this episode broke the creators’ promise never to use time travel is just the tip of the iceberg.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
