Watch: The Producers Of “Rick and Morty” Talk Of The Challenges Of Animating The Show

Yes, animation production takes nine months an episode. Other than South Park, it’s a naturally recurring theme for everything you watch, and a lot of that time is spent on animation production. That’s why I’m endorsing this clip that showcases the animation challenges that come with not only making Rick and Morty, but most other animated series as well. One of the cool takeaways I got from the clip was the amount of production that is put into the episodes in later seasons whence compared to seasons one and two.

In related news, IGN.com has revealed a new image from an upcoming episode of Rick and Morty entitled “Promortyus” that you can see here.

Synopsis:

After having been missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez suddenly arrives at daughter Beth’s doorstep to move in with her and her family. Although Beth welcomes Rick into her home, her husband, Jerry, isn’t as happy about the family reunion. Jerry is concerned about Rick, a sociopathic scientist, using the garage as his personal laboratory. In the lab, Rick works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous. But that’s not all Rick does that concerns Jerry. He also goes on adventures across the universe that often involve his grandchildren, Morty and Summer.

Rick and Morty Season Four returns with new episodes on May 3rd only on Adult Swim.
