Review: Dream Corp LLC “Tricky Ricky”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The building inspector has shown up unexpectedly to the Doctor’s office to do a thorough inspection of the premises. If the doctors don’t do something, this crazy bitch is going to shut down the business for good. To try and get her the hell out of dodge, the doctors have to put up all sorts of crazy fronts to make it look like they know what the hell they are doing. Everything from showcasing the “safety” measures the facilities take, working with CPR dummies, and protecting religious celebrations.
To make matters worse, Patient 44 has gone missing and the doctors gotta both find him and hide him from this inspector who is taking a fine-toothed comb to everything. Just as everything looks like it’s going to go to shit, we find Patient 44, but the inspector reads the riot act about the future of Dream Corp LLC and she laughs as a maniac while doing so. Fortunately, a surprise twist at the end assures us that we should be fine.
Our Take
Sam Richardson and the brilliant Bobby Lee guest star in an episode largely devoid of the patented rotoscope animation that we’ve all grown to love from the show. As funny as the rest of the show was, NOT having the animated sequences is like getting really nice clothes for Christmas. That said, it’s nice to see the whole gang back. Jon Gries is excellent, Mark Proksch had my sides in pain, and the guest stars are already off to a hot start in terms of quality. I just hope we get some more of that delicious rotoscope sooner rather than later.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
