News From “The Simpsons”: Producers Respond To Fan Theories ; Key Art ; Alf Clausen Suit Update
We’ve got a whole bunch of news for the longest running animated series in primetime before the premiere of the new episode so let’s get into it.
First up, history buffs for The Simpsons were enamored with tweets that former producer Josh Weinstein was spilling all over the place. Last week he had shared a style guide for the show that was used for new producers coming on board to help draw the show. Since then, the now producer for Disenchantment, along with his usual co-hort Bill Oakley, cleared up a Reddit theory about the “Who Shot Mr. Burns” episode. A Reddit User by the name of Game_Of_Jobrones surmised that Homer dressed as Krusty was the one who shot Mr.Burns. Bill quickly squashed that and even posted a page from the script that you can see here.
Rapper (and Disenchantment writer) Adam Briggs will be co-hosting a live-streamed cooking event inspired by The Simpsons with Chef Ben Shewry this Saturday @ 7 pm. The event will be live on Instagram and will feature the duo coming up with a whole bunch of recipes inspired by the show’s 30+ season history. You can get additional details here.
Last, but not least, former music composer Alf Clausen is in the news again. This time, it’s FOX attempting to smite Alf’s lawsuit against the producers of The Simpsons for wrongful termination. FOX says that Alf’s musical proficiency had been in decline for sometime now despite making $12k an episode, furthermore, Alf’s been delegating a bunch of his responsibilities to his son which very well could have been attributing to this.
A new episode of The Simpsons premieres this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT, check your local listings. The episode is entitled “Warrin’ Priests Part 2”, in it, while in Michigan, Reverend Lovejoy uncovers the reason why Bode left and came to Springfield; when the congregation learns of his crime, they must decide whether to banish their new priest. "There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
