Jeff Dunham Sues Scammers Selling Coronavirus Merch Featuring Original Characters
Fremont, California-based Raymond Lei (“Lei”), Ooshirts, Inc. d/b/a Teechip and Teechili (“Ooshirts”), and DOES 1-50 are in hot water for selling merchandise that looks conspicuously like Jeff Dunham’s so the famed ventriloquist is taking action and filing suit against the company.
The company is selling coronavirus-protective gear using Jeff’s “Walter” character, and is even using Jeff Dunham’s actual photos as part of the attraction in getting people to buy this merch. The defendants are being sued for tens of millions of dollars, with any and all winnings going towards COVID-19 charities should Dunham win-out.
Ooshirts has a bunch of social accounts (that I won’t link to) that don’t seem to have had any activity on them for the past year.
