“The Simpsons” To Be A “Co-Exclusive” In The UK

Disney has signed a deal with Sky that will bring Disney+ to Sky Q and TV Now for UK and Ireland viewers. Deadline is reporting that by the time the service launches on March 24th, it appears a “co-exclusive” arrangement for The Simpsons will be had. Specifics haven’t been announced, but it looks like that Disney+ will have a similar deal to what they have with FOX here in the US in that 30+ seasons of the long-running animated series will be made available for streaming, keeping the last two seasons on demand for Sky providers. Disney+ UK posted a tease on their Twitter suggesting as such.

This announcement continues a solid week for The Simpsons. The show recently posted one of it’s best episodes in recent memory with “Bart the Bad Guy” featuring a slew of guest voices including Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Avengers: Endgame, an experience the brothers called “surreal”.

The Emmy Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy will begin its 31st season this year.
