Netflix Wants A “Mulligan” For Tina Fey Animated Comedy
With Amy Poehler’s Duncantown doing super well on FOX Sunday Nights, it makes perfect sense that her longtime comedic cohort would jump into the animation game as well. Her 2021 Golden Globes co-host Tina Fey is teaming up with Robert Carlock (30 Rock) for a new animated comedy series called Mulligan centered around mankind trying a do-over after an Independence Day-like alien attack nearly annihilates Earth.
Bento Box Entertainment will be producing the series which has a 20-episode order from Netflix with other producers like 3 Arts, Universal Television, Little Stranger and Bevel Gears on board.
Our Take
Whether it’s aliens trying to end us all or be best pals with us, the trope is a popular one and continues to be in the near future. No word yet on voices, but Bobby Moynihan would be a likely candidate as he is a common collaborator with Fey. More as it develops.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
