The Video Games Most In Need Of Getting An Animated Series Adaptation
Streets of Rage 3
A sidescrolling beat-‘em-up title may not seem like the deepest selection for an animated series. However, if Castlevania’s simple sidescroller action gameplay can be turned into an ornate animated series then the same is definitely possible for the Streets of Rage series. The Streets of Rage games are seen by many as the pinnacle of beat-‘em-up games, but the third entry is by far the most bonkers and would make the most interesting adaptation for a cartoon. The game features a wealth of ridiculous enemies in each level that would make for entertaining episode fodder, but the character roster alone demands to be brought to life. In addition to Axel, Blaze, and Skate, is Dr. Zan, an old scientist with a cybernetic arm. Streets of Rage 3 also lets you plays as a kangaroo named Roo, so clearly this is the best choice to adapt. Throwing all of these absurd characters into an action series where a megalomaniac threatens the safety of the world would make for some incredibly entertaining content. The animation studio TRIGGER, who recently knocked it out of the park with their film, Promare, flourishes with this kind of story. They’d definitely be able to amplify the craziest aspects of Streets of Rage and turn them into visual candy.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
