The Video Games Most In Need Of Getting An Animated Series Adaptation

Mega Man X

There’s nothing wrong with the original Mega Man series, but cartoons and anime have tackled it in limited capacities in the past. Furthermore, Mega Man X is as close to as perfect of a platformer game as possible and it pushes the series to more adult places that would be ideal for an ongoing animated series. Not only have various iterations of Capcom’s Mega Man franchise survived and remained popular since the series’ inception decades ago, but also the games’ whole Robot Master structure would lend itself so well to the natural pacing of a shonen anime series or action serial. Not only is there a clear sense of progression as Mega Man X takes down more of Sigma’s threat, but it’s a naturally addictive approach. With Mega Man X frequently gaining new skills, engaging in incredible fights that show off eclectic terrains, and the character being an inherent underdog, there are plenty of reasons why this series would work. And if they really knew what they were doing they’d properly set up the framework for a Zero spin-off series as quickly as possible!

Then again, if that live-action Mega Man film ever moves out or production hell, perhaps it will usher in the apocalypse and the whole prospect of a Mega Man X animated series will become mute.
