The Video Games Most In Need Of Getting An Animated Series Adaptation
Silent Hill
Silent Hill has unfortunately always had to live in Resident Evil’s shadow to some extent, but there’s no arguing that the Silent Hill series provide a much more psychologically rich and surreal experience. In fact, the mature and intense nature of Silent Hill may make it seem like something that’s ill-suited for animation, but the way in which Castlevania has handled adult topics with maturity shows that there is definitely a way to do this right. Any of the Silent Hill titles have an interesting enough story to fill a season of an animated series, but it’d perhaps be most advantageous to begin with James Sunderland’s hunt for his dead wife from Silent Hill 2. Castlevania wasn’t afraid to pull from the franchise’s later games for inspiration rather than starting at the beginning and a Silent Hill series that remixes the events of the franchise would fit perfectly in line with the trippy games.
With a project like this, the look and style of the animation is paramount. Perhaps with the same team from Production I.G. who are responsible for Adult Swim’s upcoming Uzumaki adaptation would be able to do Silent Hill and its creepy atmosphere justice.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
