English Dub Review: Fairy Gone “One from an Unending Dream”
As Marlya and Veronica recover from Griff’s attack, they reach the mutual agreement to work together to stop the Divine Beast. Meanwhile, the Divine Beast awakens, killing Marco and his followers as it begins turning everything around it into a sand/dust-like substance. Nein is able to defeat and kill Liscar while the rest of his troops get an ass-kicking by Dorothea. Free defeats Wolfran but spares his life, and assures him that the world will continue to exist despite the Order’s attempts to destroy it.
As the Divine Beast begins rampaging through Rondacia, destroying everybody in its path, the civilians try to seek shelter in the palace. Klara, Serge, and Robert encounter a wounded Damien when they learn more about the Divine Beast but are rendered powerless to stop it. As this is going on, Free encounters Griff, who boasts that he has been chosen by Marco to rebuild the world after the Divine Beast fulfills his gruesome task of wiping out the people.
But Wolfran then arrives and teams up with Free to battle Griff. Marlya and Veronica try to help civilians evacuate when Marlya hears the Divine Beast’s voice and comes to the realization that the Beast isn’t evil for the sake of being evil But the episode ends when Marlya resolves to figure out if the Beast itself is really a rampaging monster or a monstrous godlike Animal forced to kill.
Our Take
From past summaries I’ve read, these two women were at odds for a while but now that Veronica and Marlya are on equal terms and back together, the battle to stop both the Eins Order and the Divine Beast has taken priority as the creature continues to ravage around for feed as magic. The concept and design of the Divine beast itself is literally the stuff of nightmares.
Overall a solid episode before the big finale that manages to tie-up several long-running rivalries between specific characters pretty well while also doing well in uniting the cast against the common threat. Hopefully, the last episode will be a good one…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
