Netflix To Speak The “Midnight Gospel” In New Animated Series With Pen Ward Starring Duncan Trussell

 

 

Set to premiere in 2020 from Pendleton Ward, Titmouse Studios, and starring the brilliant Duncan Trussell is a brand-new adult animated series called The Midnight Gospel. Eight episodes are currently in production that are inspired by the Duncan Trussell Family Hour as it follows a pal by the name of “Clancy” who has a multiverse simulator that he then uses to travel to dying worlds to interview various subjects.

Our Take

There’s still two weeks left in the year, how many more pickups are gonna get here? Netflix, FOX, and Quibi have all been busy this month in ordering new adult animation series. Pen Ward is the latest in a long line of key producers Netflix has been teaming up with for original animation which includes the likes of Nick Kroll, Alex Hirsch, and more. Trussell is a brilliant and untapped mind who has loads of voice experience and a stellar interviewer. This series sounds legit and I’m looking forward to seeing more.
