My Lone Complaint About Triumph The Insult Comic Dog’s Appearance On “The Masked Singer”

I typically do not watch reality singing competitions and The Masked Singer was no exception. But, when I heard Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was going to guest judge, I checked it out. The thing I couldn’t help but imagine is two sides of an ongoing debate as it pertains to show business’ healthcare expertise sitting directly beside each other. The debate? Autism.

Fellow judge Jenny McCarthy, a mother with an autistic child, has been a long outspoken critic of vaccines and was one of the early pioneers of the “anti-vaxxer” movement. Guest judge Triumph, aka Robert Smigel, has helped raise millions in charity for autism research and is also a father of an autistic child. As far as I know, Rob doesn’t subscribe to the ridiculous “anti-vaxxers” movement mainly because there is no science that actually supports this theory.

So, wouldn’t it have been swell if Triumph were to go hard to the paint on last night’s The Masked Singer and just dunk on Jenny all night? I understand this is a paid gig for Rob and people certainly can have differing opinions on something and still cohabitate. But, Triumph is usually way more vocal about these types of things, whether it’d be about Trump running for President, the silliness of Star Wars-themed weddings, or which dog-ass smell is the best tasting. That’s not to say Triumph didn’t come with the jokes last night, he did, but if I were there I certainly would have thrown some gut punches as the show went on.
