We Rank The Top Five “Quintessential Quintuplets” From Season One
5. Itsuki
Preference Rank: 3rd
Itsuki fills the more textbook example of a tsundere that I think Nino overplays, though that has its strengths AND weaknesses. She’s more malleable as a character and feels like she has a lot more potential for character growth. Her stubbornness and then attempts to make up for it is very endearing. But this part of the list comes down to my own personal taste, and her stuck up nature early on rubs me the wrong way just enough for me to place her right in the middle. Hopefully, future seasons will see her growing out of this, but this is where she stands at the moment.
Likeliness Rank: 1st
But I have to admit, she has the tools at her disposal to take the gold by the end. Those qualities I mentioned may not put her at the top of my list, but I think that it shows that she’s able to be as much a match for Futaro in an argument as she would be in a romance. She’s only one of two of the sisters who has a bond with his sister, Raiha, and the other is Yotsuba. I must also fall back on the tried and true method of “First Girl Wins”, usually meaning that the first girl introduced to the protagonist and/or the story is typically the one he will end up with by the conclusion. Despite favoritism by most towards Miku, I think she might be a red herring to the one with the red hair.
Also, the bride has red hair like Itsuki. Probably a goof, but I’ll take it
With that all said, The Quintessential Quintuplets is probably the first harem story in a long time that I’ve gotten this invested in for a number of reasons, part of which is its ability to write fully fleshed out characters who grow independently of the expected premise, which makes them way more interesting than your typical harem cast and why I felt compelled to make this list. Though while these are my rankings, I’m hoping the next season will do plenty to shake things up. And hopefully, we can all see that the true Best Girl was inside us the whole time.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
