Food Wars Goes Full Sailor Moon
Anime has also been known to pay homage to anime. Food Wars, a popular contemporary anime, is loaded with references the average viewer might miss because the show’s concept involves everyone’s clothes flying off whenever they taste delicious food. And yes, they taste delicious food a lot.
In the season one episode “The Magician from the East,” their seventh episode ever, they apparently already tired of nudity. Instead, in this episodes cooking competition, the judges were asked to judge a dish called magical cabbage. This cabbage dish tasted so good that instead of tearing off their clothes—which, I should clarify, happens within their minds—the three judges turned into Sailor Moon characters equipped with cabbage-adorned dresses and magical wands. They each represented a different color of cabbage, with the sole male judge donning an extravagant pink gown, as the chef transformed into a cabbage-inspired version of Tuxedo Mask.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
