Review: The Jellies “Last Reggie on Earth”
They like crazy boat people.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
The NRA-sponsored Walla Walla talent show is happening and Cornell’s band is missing an important member…Reggie. Turns out he’s gallivanting around town thinking that he’s the last dude alive. It takes a bit, but Reggie shows up to the awards show just in time to help commandeer the potential replacement who is hauled off to jail.
Our Take
Stanley is one of those underutilized characters that I wish The Jellies would use more. The mayor of Walla Walla was first introduced in the debut trailer for Adult Swim’s take on the series which, to me, helped make him the mascot or the brand for the show only to never really be used again. “The Last Reggie on Earth” does so more than most and it helps give the show that little extra thing wrong with it. Talent shows are an easy trope, though if this were to be an opportunity to showcase more of the city’s downtrodden denizens, I would’ve been a tad happier about that than watching Reggie go nuts. In any event, Reggie does provide for a good number of laughs in an otherwise somewhat disorganized plot.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
