Funimation Announces Simuldub For “Fire Force”

Fire Force has announced that they will be debuting the English dub of the long-awaited new anime from Soul Eater creator Atsushi Ohkubo at Anime Expo on July 5th in room LP3 (408AB). The series comes from David Productions and will be directed by Yuki Yase, with Yamato Haishima handling the series’ scripts and Hideyuki Morioka designing the characters. Here is the series’ synopsis:
Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion throughout the city! Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Now, as part of Company 8, he’ll use his devil’s footprints to help keep the city from turning to ash! But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could set everything ablaze.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
