Review: The Amazing World of Gumball “The Silence”
Enjoy the silence.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
They aren’t mad at each other, rather Darwin and Gumball have simply run out of things to say to each other. They try to remedy this with a number of different options including calling Tobias for help, singing songs, etc. Eventually, Darwin gets lost at the garbage dump so Gumball has to use his brother’s logic so as to find him which works just fine.
Our Take
When I initially saw the listing for this week’s episode of Gumball being “The Silence”, I initially had this idea that the producers were going to write no lines for anybody and so we just get 12 minutes of no dialogue what. It didn’t happen that way, but what we got wasn’t all bad anyway. The climax kind of didn’t make sense and the writers admitted to just that, however, I did get quite a few laughs on the way most notably when Tobias mutates the duo. By the way, this show can get rather dirty when it wants to and we’re all better for it. Knees in crotches and the occasional dip into John K. land as it pertains to the characters’ mutating is the stuff nineties kids can get behind.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
