A Recent Auction For Art Inspired By “The Simpsons” Fetched $28 Million
In HONG KONG no less.
A Hong Kong-based auction managed by Sotheby’s saw numerous pieces of art inspired by The Simpsons sell for a total of $28 million according to a recent report from Bloomberg. Artwork included The Simpsons X the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album and the other a couch gag. Other inspired items included skate shoes and spray paint cans, both of which are trademark features of Bart Simpson who, at one point, was the most popular character on the show. Fun fact, Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart, just wrote her first episode of The Simpsons that you can read our review for here.
For those that don’t have near $30 million for art inspired by The Simpsons, all you need is a cheap TV antennae this Sunday night to enjoy a brand-new episode called “I’m Just a Girl Who Can’t Say D’oh” that sees John Lithgow guest star that will see Marge becoming Director of Springfield’s local theater, armed with Lisa’s script resembling “Hamilton.” Meanwhile, Homer joins a baby class with Maggie, where he takes a liking to supervisor Chloe.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
