Review: Welcome to the Wayne “Gimble in the Wabe”

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Team Timbers decide to investigate the whereabouts of a secret pool within the Wayne after the power goes out making it VERY warm. We actually find the pool rather quickly, but it doesn’t have any water and Saraline decides to chase a lead on Tony Stanza’s prognostication regarding the gyra. The rest of the Timbers have to battle a lifeguard before convincing it to plug its tale in that fills the pool and frees Saraline from a trap. Before she leaves, Saraline downloads a file that has information pertaining to another team that’s supposed to save the Wayne…but who is it?

Our Take

Hey! That was Judd Hirsch! Judd Hirsch guest stars and is great and really this week’s episode is pure setup for the two-part finale. The pool bit was just window dressing for the build-up of what looks to be a killer finale. The battle with the lifeguard bit was very well done, well-choreographed and the character design on the snarling beast was excellent. For a show with a younger audience, the producers put in a bunch of hooks to keep everyone entertained.
