DVD Review: Archer: Dreamland
Not much to see here.

Recently, FX Networks has announced a new blog that will give behind-the-scenes access to all of the networks’ very good original programming slate. One of which, Archer will feature early footage of Archer: Dreamland scenes before they were finished like animatics with detailed insight on backgrounds and character designs that give us what was on the producers’ minds as to what they were thinking on any particular scene.
So, when I look over the DVD release of Archer: Dreamland and think, “Yea, episode commentaries on select episodes are cool, but that’s it?” I can’t help but think that home releases could be a whole lot more special coming from 20th Century FOX. Because, if we had gotten some of that behind-the-scenes insight in say featurettes or animatics for the DVD release of the eight-episode season (that’s eight episodes over two discs mind you), this thing could’ve been badass. Instead, we’re left wondering what could have been had the producers of the home release have put a little more effort.
There really isn’t a lot of value in the Archer: Dreamland 2-disc DVD release, it’s just the eight episodes that you can get on Hulu with some select commentary. Hell, 20th Century FOX even stopped putting in all of the Comic-Con junk that used to accompany the releases. Kinda sad really, hopefully, 20th Century FOX can learn from it and come out with something with a bit more “oomph”, because this ain’t it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
