Industry Buzz: Titmouse And Crunchyroll Make Executive Moves Ahead Of Busy Slate Schedules

Women are definitely making a mark in our industry.

Titmouse studios have a bunch in development and production right now and the fruits of that labor are in full display. The latest season of Venture Bros. is currently ongoing and is killing it and the second season of Big Mouth is slated for premiere probably for early ’19. In the meantime, the studio continues to produce original series for multiple platforms and, as such, has announced that Kevin Gamble and Jennifer Ray will be taking on new posts at the now 300-strong Titmouse Vancouver studios. Kevin will take on the role of VP and Supervising producer while Jennifer will be VP and head of production of the same studio.

New series in development for Titmouse include an under-the-wraps Netflix adult animation series, the recently ordered Tigtone for Adult Swim (whose parent company Turner just signed a deal with FuboTV to see networks like TBS, TNT, Adult Swim, and others be made available), and even new feature-length films. Suffice to say, 2019 is shaping to be a nuts year for the studio that Chris Prynoski has built.

In related news, Crunchyroll has four new original animated series in development for 2019 and Margaret Dean has been tapped to run Ellation Studios which will be handling the production responsibilities for the aforementioned original series.

Margaret recently departed Stoopid Buddy Stoodios (Robot Chicken) and is the president of Women in Animation, so she has a wealth experience for a studio aiming to make animation that is more anime-influenced and less geared towards the run-of-the-mill that gets put on television.
