RIP: Canal+ And go90 Streaming Services
It’s been real.
The proverbial bubble on streaming services is starting to pop little by little. This after France’s Canal Plus and Verizon’s go90 have officially had the plugs pulled on them as of this week. While CanalPlus tried employing a subscription model similar to Netflix, their subscriber numbers fell in the face of growing competition from Silicon Valley’s streaming giants.
In terms of Verizon’s go90, the free streaming platform had a mixed bag of quality content which led to lower viewership. For every decent series like say Blark & Son, the free streaming app spent a lot of money on Transformers programming that wasn’t very good, and as such, helped lead the free app to its demise. Future content will show up on Yahoo and other platforms from Verizon not named go90.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
