Nordic: Adult Swim Set To Join Viafree
Here’s which shows will be made available at launch.
Just as Viacom is doing with franchises like South Park, Warner Media/Turner Network’s Adult Swim brand is going Nordic starting August 1st on Viafree. Soon to be made available in countries such as Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, franchises like Mr. Pickles, Robot Chicken, Hot Streets, Samurai Jack, The Jellies, and over 100 titles will soon make landfall.
Mr. Pickles and Hot Streets are in the midst of producing follow-up seasons to their most recent efforts while Robot Chicken is ongoing with new episodes that should last through June and most of July here in the United States.
Viafree is a free video streaming service based in the Nordics.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
