Review: Apple & Onion “Apple’s in Trouble”

Double trouble.

Overview (Possible Spoilers Below)

This week’s episode kicks-off as the titular duo are seen working at their local Dollar Store, but the real meat of the story is when a grumpy & muscular dude named “Cheesesteak” challenges Apple to a fight in two days for an awkward joke that failed at making him laugh. In response to this, Onion suggests they go on a quest to find the source of Cheesesteak’s attitude so Apple can be spared. As the two enter a hotel in disguise where Cheesteak works at, they begin to notice a “Domino-Effect” between random & unrelated people and events that turn out to be the source of some unhappy attitudes that affect one-another in negative ways.

Upon finding out the true source of this domino effect, the twist of who indirectly started this chain of negativity becomes a lot more shocking than even I expected. So to rectify these problems, much of the episode devotes itself to a comedic montage where they successfully attempt to help those affected by this unhappy chain which at first, almost doesn’t work, but thankfully, good karma begins to intervene in its own quirky way.

Our Take

For anyone who has had problems with everyday social interactions, this is relatable when you realize that some of the most negative people we encounter in our everyday lives have a reason behind their negativity, to begin with. But If there’s anything that this episode has taught me, it’s that sometimes there’s no real bad guy, but a series of negative & positive events & actions that cause people to act the way they do.
