David X. Cohen came to The Simpsons after writing two episodes of Beavis and Butthead.  He is credited with thirteen episodes between 1994-98, considered The Simpsons “golden years”.  Five years later Cohen would get the call from Groening to work on a new animated series.  Cohen helped to develop and was one of the leading showrunners for many years of the undeniably brilliant, Futurama.
