Twelve Writers From “The Simpsons” Who Have Gone on to Run Their Own Shows
David M. Stern
David Stern may be more memorable for his voice than his writing as he served as the narrator for The Wonder Years which also gained him some writing credits and a job on The Simpsons. Stern has done on and off work for the series for many years and has an affinity for writing about Patty and Selma. In 1999, Stern even gained an Emmy nomination for the episode “Viva Ned Flanders”. In 2010, Stern helped to develop and produce the series Ugly Americans, which he calls his “dream job.”
