Twelve Writers From “The Simpsons” Who Have Gone on to Run Their Own Shows
Richard Appel
Credited with writing seven episodes of The Simpsons, Richard Appel has a long list of writing credits including King of the Hill, Family Guy, and American Dad. It all leads up to 2009 when Appel was invited to help develop Family Guy spin-off, The Cleveland Show. Appel held the position of executive producer for the shows full four-season run.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
