Saturday Morning Watchmen
Okay, unlike the other entries on this list Saturday Morning Watchmen was never planned to be a full out series but, we thought it deserved a place here anyway. In 2009, during the release of The Watchmen movie YouTube blew up with this retro looking cartoon intro featuring the main characters of the comic book. A campy version of the dark heroes with a catchy rock song had people questioning whether or not this show was real.
Created by Harry Partridge the short opening credit scene is an homage to 80’s cartoons like Thundercats and Scooby Doo. The video has since gone viral with even Watchman artist, Dave Gibbons, sharing his appreciation. Though it may have been intended as a joke from the beginning, it doesn’t stop comic fans all over from wishing there was a full series behind it.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
