“Spitting Image” Reboot Getting Closer To Reality
This better happen.
We told you guys earlier this year about a potential reboot of the classic iTV puppet series, Spitting Image, and now Deadline is reporting that a pickup of the series is heating up.
Apparently, numerous networks are eyeing the reboot including HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and NBC with original creator Roger Law attached to co-create the satirical puppet series that will be written in New York and produced in the UK.
Our Take
NBC tried once at bringing this series to the US but failed miserably, and I hate the idea of this series on a broadcast network. A streaming service or HBO is far more of an attractive project because then you don’t have to worry about censors.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
