English Dub Review: Lupin the Third Part IV “Dragons Sleep Soundly”
Not the lions.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
Fox takes an important list of all the MI6 agents from all over the world, called the “Dragon’s Tail” and takes it to an island. Gibbons forces Nyx, literally at gunpoint, to go and get the list back, of which Lupin is also looking for. Lupin sterilizes the island, but not before both he and Nyx escapes. Lupin eventually gets into it with Leonardo Da Vinci and Gibbons gets killed in the process. Turns out, Leonardo wanted the list, but Lupin has it now.
Our Take
In what might be one of the darkest episodes of Lupin all season, the producers of the series continue to show shades of brilliance in storytelling despite the fact that Tony Oliver’s take on the titular character is set at such a different octave than the rest of the show. Leonardo Da Vinci is becoming a more and more reliable villain that’s fun to play with, just as cunning as Lupin, so I’m looking forward to seeing these two clash more as time goes on.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
